Hey, I’m Jeff…eh em, I mean I’m Goose, or Gus, or Ace, or Rudolph, or P-Swayze or a host of other nicknames I’ve had over the years. For the purposes of this site though, I am definitely Goose, which my wife started calling me, although I have no idea why. Of all the nicknames I have, Goose is the most endearing to me as my it is how my wife’s nieces and nephews know and refer to me. Uncle Goose.

I am a bit of a modern renaissance man and hobbyist. I dabble or have dabbled in many different hobbies and activities including, but not limited to, computers and web design, astrophotography, traditional photography, motorcycles, woodworking and so on. I have also competed in triathlon, a gadget geek, guitar player / musician and am a bit of a do-it-yourselfer (having done just about every home project you can imagine).

At work I am currently a Global Product Manager in the Information Technology field. This has given me the opportunity to travel quite a bit for work, but my wife and I have also traveled quite a bit over the last few years as well.

So what does this all mean for this site?
Well, I am jack-of-all trades and master-of-some. More importantly, I typically do more research than the average person when it comes to purchasing things I am interested in. My family and friends know this so they will often ask my opinion before making similar purchases. I figured, why not combine my passion for web design, product research and sharing knowledge with others and thus this site was born.
